Hero III - from £5000

Hero III is a lifesize representation of a superbly strong and sensual female form. One of two pieces in this collection modelled on fitness journalist Danni Levy, originally created for the Gods & Goddesses micro-collection of four lifecast sculptures commissioned by Bella Vou, Tunbridge Wells.

The original wall-mounted sculptures were created in a cold aluminium and iron mix, patinated and waxed to give this stunning finish resembling polished pewter. However, this sculpture, and the others in the collection are available in a range of other limited edition finishes.

The sculpture blends the styles of ancient Greco-Roman artforms, celebrating athleticism in images of heroes and gods, with the contemporary fixation on screen super heroes, elite athletes and bodies so chiselled that they seem more hyperreal than real.

The usual softness of feminine curves is replaced with finely toned muscles, engorged veins, powerful lines which contrast beautifully with a semi-demure pose, the folds of sheer fabric slipping down her exposed hip, the pronounced breasts and delicate collar bones.

This delightfully sexy and striking artwork makes an incredible focal point for a home, club, clinic or garden setting. The chosen finish can either draw more attention, or soften the look of the piece (for example in cast white quartz or a more traditional bronze).

Hero IV - from £5000

Incredible detail shows even the pores of her skin, raised in reaction to the cold casting gel which captured her form, and traces each dimple of her spine.

The model’s incredible musculature contrasts beautifully to her feminine curves and tiny frame - asking the viewer to question their preconceived notions of beauty and femininity.

Whether in a highly polished aluminium and iron finish where her gleaming curves and muscles take centre stage against a white wall or industrial style brickwork, or in a more traditional aged bronze, in a lush garden with ivy and other greenery surrounding and embracing her; this sculpture will be an attention grabber and a wonderful addition to your art collection.

The last in the microseries of four lifesize sculptures, originally created in a cold cast aluminium/iron mix for Bella Vou, Tunbridge Wells. This piece features the powerful back, buttocks and thighs of fitness journalist and model Danni Levy. This piece, like the rest in the collection, is available in a range of limited edition material finishes, and can be engraved or embellished to order.

Alloy I - £6000

‘Alloy I’ is a unique piece, which is close to completion and can be finished to order in a very short time. It comes with a chain for wall mounting, but a variety of fixing points so can be displayed in a variety of positions, each of which convey a different mood to the piece.

With the shins and elbow against a flat horizontal surface, the subject looks to be in a submissive or prayer position. With the lower arms in horizontal position, the sculpture resembles a yogic pose, conveying strength, control and focus. With the buttocks and toes pointing down, the sculpture appears to be ‘divebombing’ as if into a body of water to make a huge splash. And with the spine placed towards the base of the sculpture, it is reminiscent of a hatching egg.

Created from molten pewter, drizzled directly into a single mould (that is destroyed in the process), then backed up with black resin and iron powder, the unique, highly textured finish looks and feels like something volcanic. The folds and curves of the female human form are still obviously discernible even in this undulating, volatile texture.

Relevé - from £3500

It was our absolute honour to get the chance to cast the feet of former First Artist of the Royal Ballet Company, Sander Blommheart, for our collection of professional dance lifecast sculptures.

The form of a male dancer’s foot is sculpturally so different to the en pointe female feet in satin ballet shoes. Although both convey the astounding strength obtained from sheer hard work, dedication and repetition, neither of us were prepared for the sheer musculature in Sander’s feet and ankles. Like the roots of a mighty tree and yet still somehow slender and aerodynamic, the beauty and detail in these exquisite casts cannot fully be described.

As with the ‘En pointe’ sculptures above, this sculpture requires a bespoke plinth and we can create one for you in a range of beautiful materials. Please enquire for further details.
